National Customer Service Awards

Launched by Don in 2000, these are undoubtedly THE Customer Service Awards. Over the years the awards have attracted entries and winners from some of the UK’s most prestigious companies in the UK, such a Direct Line and Vodafone, who are renowned for great service and from some young companies that are breaking the mould such as Active Digital who won the Customer Service Team of the Year Award in face of competition from major players.

The awards cover every aspect of customer service, including contact centres and are endorsed by the Institute of Customer Service and the Society of Consumer Affairs Professionals.

As the founder of the Awards, Don acts as Chairman of the judging panel and rates the weeks that he spends in this role as one of the highlights of his year.

The awards are now part of the CMPi product range and are held in conjunction with Customer Strategy magazine.

The awards open for entries around March each year.

UK Customer Experience Awards

Although they have undergone considerable changes over the years, these awards date back to 1994 when they were known as the Service Excellence Awards. Today they serve two objectives:

  • To identify and recognise those UK organisations which are the industry leaders at serving customers
  • To help organisations identify their strengths and weaknesses and provide benchmarks and guidelines to help them improve performance.

The the awards dinner is held each May.

National Sales Awards

Don’s first entry into the world of awards started in 1995 when he launched the National sales awards. Still immensely popular, the programme attracts entries from many of the companies who support the NCSA as service and selling become drawn closer together. There are plenty of categories either specifically for contact centres or suitable for contact centre entries.

Once again these awards are now part of the CMPi product range and Don, as the awards founder, acts as chairman of judges.

The awards evening is held each February.
